All in a Week's Work

Whew! Did the roller coaster stop yet?  Okay, let me get my thoughts together!  So, this is what 'growth' feels like: living by a calendar every day, talking on the phone nonstop, relying on spell check for all emails, wish there was a grammar check too, thinking you left a message for the "right" Jane when there are two or more stored in your phone and feeling like an idiot when you find out you made the mistake.  Over-committing, over-scheduling, over's officially time for some strategic down time.

While I'm forever grateful for this "ride", I have to realize we are short-staffed right now and although I LOVE being at everyone's beck and call, I must 'shut it down' to 'get er done!' So with that, Ima (yes, I said Ima! LOL) leave you with some pictures from the Men's Book Atlanta Launch hosted by Modern Luxury Media (Thanks for the invite D'anne!) that I attended with my newest add, Pink Stiletto Valet's CEO Cordie Moore.  One. Word. SWANKY! This magazine is really dope! We really had a good time.

Last night I had the pleasure of mingling with the ultimate "Tastemakers" in Atlanta.  Interior Designer, Darcy Harris of The VIP Design Studio put on an event that was everything Luxe, Tasteful and only for the Tastemaker at the chic and sophisticated Roche Bobois in Buckhead!

I was joined by our newest 'angel baby' Mrs. Cordie Moore, CEO of Pink Stiletto Valet and had the pleasure of re-connecting with friends and meeting new ones.

The evening was dedicated to the Dukes Foundation, an organization dedicated to serve Atlanta's urban communities by assisting 'at risk' youth in their efforts to become successful. I was also introduced to the latest fragrances by Joe Malone, courtesy of Yvonne Murray of Saks. I was able to get a sneak peek into the luxury mobile spa lounge known as 'Lashes & Mustaches".  I've heard a lot about this luxe cigar mobile lounge and must say, it truly lives up to its reputation!

I was in beautiful company too!  Stylist Aj Chaverest, Designer Sonya Mason, Kelli Fair (Kheesekakes by Kelli), Nocola Hemphill (Pomp + Ruckus PR/SheEO Professional Women's Alliance), friends Vanessa Bonen and her lovely sister Melanie.  I really enjoyed myself and look forward to more "TASTE" events!

Enjoy the scene! (Photography courtesy of G.Paras Griffin & Darcy Harris)

What I know for sure.....Is this....

As long as you TRUST that you were created for a purpose and a reason, that you're needed and God is brilliant, LIFE will be good to you.  The good and the bad, the sunshine and the rain are all part of the plan. Believe it or not the pain IS a NEEDED ingredient for the awesomeness to happen. For-real.

It's been an intense but pure exhilarating week.  I absolutely LOVE zipping across Atlanta from Buckhead to Midtown hideaways and even the circle of I-285 to get from Decatur to Cascade Road.  I absolutely love to switch between being on the set of an editorial shoot with a glossy magazine for clients to training clients on "Blogging 101" in the comfort of my home office while clients make themselves comfortable on the couch or on the floor. Talking cosmetics, beauty and lifestyle in mini-mansions ain't bad either, and I had my moment with that this week too (yeah I'm smug, LOL)

And then there are the many phone calls to and from media, clients, vendors, inquiriers and employees to returning messages that reach from New York to LA. But what makes my day the most is when the clients go for the gold and start talking national with only names that everybody know!

But the best of it all is when the media responds with a RESOUNDING YES and then I know it's a job well done and this week, we got those wins in too!   What I know for sure is that I'm having the time of my life and LIVING each day in its fullness from joy to frustration to surprise to creative innovation - I feel it all! So THANK YOU to my clients for allowing me to join you on your life's journey because you are the main ingredient to why I enjoy life the way that I do!

Enjoy pics from my adventures this week!

T.MORRISON AGENCY Clients IN the Media - Week of February 28th

In HONOR of Women's History Month, I want to start off my homage to my grandmother, Anna Lois Davis Morrison, whom I don't remember personally because she passed on when I was only 7 months, but the stories of the love she bestowed upon me, I feel like I've known her all my life - I do remember her love!  Thanks Grandma for believing in me when you first laid eyes on me!

I love to report good news, it keeps a permanent smile on my face, no matter how hard we're working behind the scenes! Here are our clients showing off wonderful talents this week:

Matchmaker, Ming Gregory had an AMAZING time as a guest on The Steve Harvey Morning Show.  She was on to talk about her dating agency, Color Blind International.  Unfortunately, Mr. Harvey was on location in Orlando, but we had the pleasure of meeting Shirley "Strawberry" and "Rashan, Steve's Boss", (he was a trip, made me a little nervous at times, LOL). Steve Harvey is such a FOOL and had us dying laughing the entire time! I can tell his cast have a ball working with him.  The jokes can throw you off your game if you're not ready, but Ming did her thing and before we left, she made sure to let Mr. Harvey know he would be seeing her again, as he instructed us to sit down with his producers to talk about....well, you'll just have to wait to hear more!  In the meantime, if you're in need of some help navigating the online world of dating or really want the help of a professional, check out Ming and her relationship counselor's at Color Blind International.

For the Umpteenth time, MING, get OFF the phone! LOL

Parenting Expert, Dr. Bisa is quite the 'go to' woman, zippin' around Atlanta giving her advice, counsel and initiating educational plans for our children. From her work with The United Way of Metro-Atlanta, the Atlanta Public Schools, writing children's books, delivering parenting workshops and giving of her time to several nonprofits and organizations to conducting classes to early childhood educators to help them keep their jobs in place and provide learning tools to enhance our children's educational success, she also finds time to speak to the media - whew, I'm tired!  This week Dr. Bisa spoke with journalist and host, Krystle Nicole Russin on her radio show yesterday giving valuable parenting advice, check it out here.

Our newest addition to the team has been doing a wonderful job as well attracting media with her savvy & sexy brand, so check out Master Lash Specialist, Ms. Shea Evans of Flirt 'n Flutter Beauty Boutique Lounge with her exclusive on Rolling Out Mag's TV special.

It's great to be in the company of women doing awesome things! Happy Women's Herstory Month ladies - keep making HERstory relevant!

T.MORRISON Presents.....TASTEMAKERS You Need to Know!

We published our first edition of our mini-magazine yesterday to RAVE reviews!  Not sure what the future holds for this publication, but we like what it stands for.  The purpose is to engage, inform and introduce you to the clients we represent and give you a little taste of what's it's like to be a true publicist.
There is a dedication, passion and commitment that must be inherent for success.  It's not about being in the spotlight.  It's about supporting people who are supposed to be in the spotlight find and maintain their way there.  That's my humble opinion.  There's a time for all and there's room for all, so let's grow together and root for each other along the way!

Enough of my soapbox, it's been a long but exciting day already and I'll share those deets later.  Enjoy the read and share your feedback!  P.S. - PR Stars, I WANT to FEATURE you and what you're doing for your clients, so hit us up!
