Impatience is something that I suffer from. Since I was a child it seems I've been trying to get to the next level without really fully engulfing what the present moment means or is attempting to show me. I started reading at the age of three (3). The book was The Little Engine That Could, what I remember most from reading that book was "I think I can. I think I can. I think I can!" which led to the certainty of "I know I can!". I loved it! Everything I put my focus on - whether it was school work, my family's drama's, my friendships or my dreams, I knew I could! I COULD CHANGE things because I KNOW I CAN! Riiiiiiggggghhhhhttttt.... #GoodLuckWithThat!
Sigh, that leads to a condition called Impatience. I've been told by everyone who knows and loves me that I am impatient and that life really is moving at the pace it's supposed to...not sure I ever believed that, but OK.
A conversation with a dear client this weekend led me to have a 'moment' with myself when she asked me to be patient with her and the speed at which she'd like to move her brand along. When she requested my patience, it resonated so deeply within me that I thought about it every chance I got in quiet moments and was really able to be a friend to myself and agree that she was right. From the moment the words left her mouth, I agreed - what's the big hurry?
I have been driving myself like a slave-driver. Never-ending, non-stop, won't-stop-can't-stop force to get it done in every sense of the word. But really, what's the big rush for? Hasn't life shown me over and over again that things happen in the time designated for them to happen? Exhale. Relax. Relate and release.
I swear, I totally have the BEST clients in the world! They appreciate me and value the service my company provides and totally get that we live and breathe SUCCESS simply because I KNOW that I AM. So, Impatience, shut up, sit down and chill! I am no longer being possessed by you. My new accessory is called p-p-p-patience...and we're getting to know each other very well!

Was I the Only One Clueless to the Brilliance of SXSW?
On Friday’s broadcast of the Greenlight Project, our radio show, my co-host, Rochelle brought up the happenings of SXSW taking place March 12th – March 21st. Prior to that, she’d mentioned it a few months back and it was the first time I’d ever heard of such an event. SXSW is apparently one of the largest interactive music, film, computer and innovative technology conferences in the United States. Celebrating it’s 23rdyear, it first began in 1987 and is centered in downtown Austin every spring. This year, media entrepreneurs, techno-geeks and the worlds most innovative minds descend upon Austin, Texas for nearly 10 days of information, music and film previews, making deals, partying and discovering the next Google andTwitter empires. 23 years? Where the hell have I been? Am I the only one that has been clueless to the brilliance of SXSW?
In 1994, SXSW added film and interactive conferences making way for brands like Kodak and AT&T to use it as a branding platform while attracting a strong following among web creators and entrepreneurs like Twitter, WordPress, and Foursquare. Foursquare took to the conference this year by bringing to life its virtual city and offering the experience in 3-D, how cool is that? With its popularity growing by leaps and bounds (I recently asked my intern to get on the horn ASAP to inform us what in the devil is this thing called Foursquare), it’s becoming the new Twitter and I’d predict, with this showiness at SXSW, it’s bound to have the Twitter-world all a-buzz about its brand, thereby increasing its value 10xs over. With its focus on emerging technology, SXSW has earned the festival a reputation as a breeding ground for new ideas and creative technologies. For instance Twitter launched at SXSW in 2007 and has completely revolutionized the way we communicate online as well as has redefined the term “relationship building”. Twitter has since birthed ...continue reading

Short on Cash? Bartering May Be Your Best Bet
Another bank failed in Georgia and I'm sure they're falling down in your state too, so what's the small biz owner to do??
Never fret, there is a solution! For those of us - small biz and just regular old folk looking for a good deal, bartering may be the next best thing! Yes, bartering. Who knew? Well apparently, the brilliant folks at NuBarter saw this happening a long time ago and set the wheel in motion.
Now we have a well-oiled machine helping businesses sustain this pyscho economy that comes and goes with the wind!
Victor Arnold of HB Fitness in Smyrna was in need of podiatry work when he decided to explore opportunities available to him through NuBarter. Victor shares, “When I joined NuBarter, I mentioned to Jenny and Aaron the issues I’d been having with my feet.” He continues, “They told me of a podiatrist that was a fellow member in the Atlanta area and I called to schedule an appointment.”
