What Have We Been Up To Lately?

Photo Credit: Rolling Out Magazine/Talking With Tami

Well, I'm glad you asked!  Let me just say, it's been an exciting ride!

Black Bride's 2nd Annual Bridal Show was a HUGE success and it was a privilege and honor to be part of such a ground-breaking concept!  Thanks to all the media that came out and showed us pre and post love.  Special Thanks to: E. Vincent Martinez of Fashionado.net & Talking with Tami (Rolling Out Magazine).  We'll share pictures and post coverage as it arrives, but make sure to "Like Us" on Facebook and Follow Us on Twitter!

We've also hired a new PR Associate!  Portia Rice comes to us by way of Vegas but was a former intern that graduated from Clark Atlanta in 2011.  It warmed my heart to get a personal call from Portia asking to come on-board as an associate.  She has been - by far - one of the best intern's we've had and it was an honor to welcome her back on board! You can follow Portia on Twitter @Ms_PRGraduate.

As you know, One Hundred Days was nominated and WON The Little Pink Book's TOP Philanthropy for 2012.  Kelli Sasser, co-Founder, represented well for us!!! We are thankful to the over 500 votes received!!! More deets will come shortly!

Actress Kim Coles & Tamika Morrison (T.MORRISON Agency)
I also had the pleasure of meeting the infamous Afrobella creative-brain of the phenomenal Patrice Yursik and the ever funny oh-so-beautiful Actor, Comedian & GODDESS, Kim Coles! They were both featured speakers at Fro Fashion Week that took place in Atlanta. Patrice invited me and my client out to the VIP party to meet her and Kim and it was FIYAH!  I'm so happy we finally embraced in person. You.ROCK.Period.com Patrice! (please forgive the bad quality photo of me & Kim)

The Wendell Show out of Athens on the campus of UGA (University of Georgia) has so graciously hosted many of our clients these two months as guests of their season finale! BlackBride.com's CEO Mary Chatman and Bestselling Author & Relationship Strategist, Kenny Pugh, made appearances last night!  We'll keep you posted as to when these will air!

That's our 'Month-In-The-Life-Of' and we're sticking to it!  How's your month been?!  Holla at us!

Cancer Got a MAJOR Hat-titude This Weekend

We were honored to participate in the 2nd Annual Big Hat Brunch hosted by All About Me Mixer, founded by community leader Ms. Jerika Head of Atlanta in her annual celebration on Sunday, June 26th to give cancer a big attitude adjustment during Hat-titude.  This year, the event was hosted by by V-103’s Sytonnia Moore, and Atlanta’s favorite foodie, Grace Lee, with a special "Ask the Doctor" panel led by T.MORRISON AGENCY client,  renowned cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Nathaniel Johnson, III of the health and aesthetic Hello Beautiful Center located in quaint Vinings.

In 100 degree temperature at the beautiful Pampered Salon & Spa in Castleberry Hill, attendees sipped on Victory H20 water, signature drinks courtesy of Ciroc, Rock Star Energy Drink, hat fashions by La Hattiere and delicious bites by Bridge Catering.

“Hat-titude is an education and awareness event that gives men and women a platform to rally in the support of the fight against cancer,” states Jerika Head, founder and CEO of both the All About Me Mixer and Hat-titude events, “What makes our event unique is that we highlight all forms of cancer because the disease is not just limited to the ones we hear all the time, like breast, cervical, prostate, etc. We expose all forms, for both men and women, and we do it in style!”

And boy, did these ladies and gents show up in style!  The hats were bold, courageous and beautiful, just like those who are familiar with the fight against cancer!

Special recognition to Dawn Kamara of Coffee Talk with Soy, Holly Clay (Sheen Magazine), Atlanta Tastemaker Magazine, Talking with Tami/11 Alive and Stephanie Clark (Essence.com).

And The Beat Goes On....

Wow, life right now feels like a nice mix of the kind of excitement you get when you strap on your seatbelt in anticipation of a roller coaster ride that's sure to give you a range of emotions from exhilaration to trepidation, fear and relief - a beautiful mess! Guess what, I love it! It means, I'M ALIVE!  (giggles).

Well, there's much to share as our clients are LIVING and BREATHING their PASSIONS for serving others and sharing their natural God-given talents with the world! Very exciting watching these brand-makers SOAR!

Parenting Expert, Dr. Bisa
Thursday was such a day of celebration with our Parenting Expert, Dr. Bisa's debut on Essence.com (courtesy of Blogger Extraordinaire, Afrobella)! Congrats Dr. Bisa!  She looked so beautiful in her "Natural Hair" story, Essence.com's line up of natural hair stories featuring beautiful, dynamic and inspiring women!  Then the weekend continued with client, Renee Knorr at a power meeting with other magnificent women as we discussed the latest in celebrity golf, fashion and lifestyle. Quite exciting as we 'name-dropped' celebs you'd only see on Oprah's couch - OW! Then it was on to Matchmaker Ming Gregory of Color Blind International to prepare for NATIONAL!!!! (sighing here....A. Little. Bit. Stressed.)

Client, Tia R. Ervin of Milestone Occasions kicked-off her signature "Mom & Me" Bridal Luncheon at the Atlanta Marriott Buckhead with a nice and intimate crowd of mothers and daughters getting ready for the biggest day in their lives.  It was very beautiful, inviting and fun! Ms. Tia R. Ervin knows her stuff!  I understand why she was named The Knot's 2010 Wedding Planner of the Year and why Lifetime's Get Married featured her thrice! We were joined by Ms. Talking with Tami as our media guest, I think she had fun, check out her write-up.

Then it was off to the event of the night, courtesy of Art of Facts PR and Myliek where client Sakiri Vodka and Renee Knorr had the opportunity to be dreamy and dapper at the 'Wedding Soiree' held at the beautiful and swanky Ventanas in Downtown Atlanta - breathtaking view of the city!  It was a book signing with authors, celebrity wedding planners Gail & Hester.  It was SO CHIC! Renee was a very gorgeous Bride and her beautiful spirit was the icing on the cake!  Sakiri Vodka was the exclusive Vodka for the evening that had 3 bars - 2 downstairs (one rooftop) and one upstairs.  Myleik, GREAT JOB!
Model, Renee Knorr & Tamika (T.Morrison Agency CEO)
Beautiful Spring-like night on the rooftop at Ventanas-ATL

And then there goes that beat!  The fire bell rang n the form of my vibrating Blackberry way too many times and (oh so very loudly)! Then and I was in PR 'damage control' mode and OFF as I dashed from the fab soiree like Cinderella to rescue a client in need.  A. Day. In the Life.....Of....P....R.... Love it!
