The Black Man Can Announce Winners for 2nd Annual Awards on Father's Day

By: T.MORRISON AGENCY Staff

Founder Brandon Frame Award Upstanding Black Men Nationally Every Father's Day

Embarking on its 2nd2nd inaugural celebration, The Black Man Can awarded 13 men in 12 categories helping to honor and salute these young men for their outstanding contributions making it a very special Father's Day.

The site, which has featured over 150 extraordinary men and women and has received over three-million page views globally has been recognized as a media reformer, providing news of positive African-Americans to counteract many of the negatives.

Not meeting his own father until he was 18, Founder of The Black Man Can, Brandon Frame, an intentional champion of a cause, had a desire to seek out positive Black male role models, finding none; he created the website, to counter the stereotypes he found with positive stories of Black men and women globally. Because of its impact, The Black Man Can has been recently featured in JET Magazine's "Men of Honor" (May 2013), UptownMagazine.com (May 2013), Afro.com (May 2013), CNN Money, Black Celebrity Giving, Urban Health Magazine, CBS College Sports, etc., to name a few.

Congratulations to all the winners and for Brandon Frame for creating this dynamic opportunity for Black Men to be recognized for their awesome contributions!

TheBlackManCan.org Announces finalists for 2nd Annual Black Man Can Awards

By: T.MORRISON AGENCY Staff

Carmelo Anthony, Ne-Yo & Luther Campbell among the nominees

Often negative portrayals of black males make indelible impacts on how the people of the world view black men and boys and how they view themselves, especially when a positive male role model is absent. Brandon Frame, a 25 year-old author, scholar, educator and Morehouse graduate didn't meet his own father until he was 18 and with his desire to seek out positive Black male role models finding none, he created the website, TheBlackManCan.org to counter the stereotypes he found with positive stories of Black men and women globally. To-date the site has featured over 150 extraordinary men and women and is embarking upon their 2nd Annual Black Man Can Awards ceremony that will take place on Father's Day, honoring over 60 distinguished Black men in 12 categories and also give out a Man of Distinction award to a black man serving in the armed forces.

2013 Nominees include: Carmelo Anthony, Ne-Yo, Luther Campbell, Mayor Jamel Holley (Roswell, NJ), Michael Tubbs (Youngest Elected Official in the Country), Sean-Michael Spence (Entertainment Attorney), Rob Hill, Sr. (Author/Motivational Speaker) and more. Voting began on May 7th and a host committee will help narrow down all nominees and assist with selecting the 2013 winners; The Black Man Can Awards will also honor men of distinction in both medicine and the military. Distinguished winners from last year include: Olympian Cullen Jones, Sean Walton, Jr., Chris Johnson, Jesse Muhammad, Ramel Werner, Greg Gadson and Andre Knighton.

Keeping Up with T.MORRISON

By: T.MORRISON AGENCY Staff

You always have to be on-point when working in public relations because you never know if one of your clients may need you at the last minute to attend an event or red carpet awards show with them, just as our Founder, Tamika Morrison experienced.  Tamika had the pleasure of being invited to The 2nd Annual Legendary Awards presented by Divas Unlimited at The Fabulous Fox Theater.  The event was hosted by retired NBA player, Dominique Wilkins and his dynamic committee.  Two of our clients Dr. Nathaniel Johnson and Mr. Val Archer (Tuskegee Airmen) attended the event side by side with Tamika. Mr. Archer received recognition for his contribution to American History as portrayed in the blockbuster movie, "Red Tails" and was award honorees, Music Producer, Dallas Austin, Football Hall of  Fame Deion Sanders and Media Mogul Mr. Ted Turner.

What a beautiful event, which was captured by photographer PaulBiagui Photography!

We received the official footage from The Wendell Show when our client, One Hundred Days (who's also the recipient of a big win from a major online news site!) was on their show last month to talk about the great work they are doing to help restoration in Rwanda. Founder of OHD, Dr. Scott Sasser and Linda Cox shared the stage, engaging college students on the campus of UGA about their Rwandan journey.  Linda Cox says it best, “It warms my heart to want to help someone who wants to help themselves that much.”  When she’s speaking about Rwanda you can see in her eyes the passion she has for the cause.  You can check out the interview below:

This has been a great week for us as we've had several media requesting our clients, especially, Mr. Val Archer, Tuskegee Airmen and "The Relationship Strategist", Kenny Pugh.

Special thanks to Tekoa Gospel News that features Kenny Pugh on their cover as well as features on The Black Man Can interviewed by Founder, Brandon Frame, and Brotha.com and an appearance on The Wendell Show at the campus of UGA.  Kenny will also be featured relationship speaker at STIR this Saturday, February 18th in Decatur, Georgia at the Porter Sanford Performing Arts Center. As you can see, he's definitely one to watch!
