Van Galder is now opening her Atlanta location, Maudlin et al, with business partner, William "Bryan" Rose who is owner of Artifactual, an international antique furniture store that has been serving the area for nearly a decade. Celebrating their grand opening on Thursday, October 27th, with an open house for customers from 1pm - 5pm and a press party from 7pm - 9pm located at 1700 Defoors Ave NW in Atlanta, guests will enjoy light bites from Food Lovers Catering. Some of Maudlin's esteemed shoppers include A-list designers such as Peter Dunham of Hollywood at Home; exclusive designer and store owner of Coup D'état in San Francisco; Blackman Cruz in LA, an Elle Décor preferred store and celebrity favorite, Rooms and Gardens out of Santa Barbara. Hollywood celebrities like Heidi Klum also find Maudlin the 'go-to' place for home décor. If it sounds like a list of bragging rights, it's not, Van Galder explains, "We just want Atlanta to know just how much of a gem this place is." All have sought her out for Maudlin's classic European inspired designs and down to earth services. Now Van Galder and William "Bryan" Rose are in Atlanta's West Midtown Design District on DeFoors Avenue.
