Philanthropist and Make-Up Consultant Linda Cox Assists the T.MORRISON Interns on Professional Image Development

By: Stevi Darden

The T.MORRISON AGENCY team was fortunate enough to have their very own, Linda Cox, host a professional development class in the office last week! Cox, children’s author and philanthropist with the One Hundred Days nonprofit foundation, helped the interns to establish a clean, refreshed face in the workplace. Tips on eye contact, keeping a positive attitude, and professional decorum left the interns feeling upbeat and revitalized.

Considering the T.MORRISON AGENCY commitment to professionalism and positivity, it was only right that we would spend time mastering the importance of image.  After all, outer appearance and upkeep are also very important! Lovely Linda started by easing the interns’ concerns with pictures of the make-up she did on our agency’s Founder, Tamika Morrison. This cosmetic confidant answered concerns about skin tones, flattering colors, and skin problems.

With so much valuable information regarding professional development and image, the T.MORRISON AGENCY interns will continue to strive to new levels of success. The team thanks Mrs. Linda Cox for her helpful words of wisdom and priceless tips and Mary Kay for sponsoring our professional development workshop!

The relationship panel discussion and networking event brought a packed house to Justin’s Restaurant.

The public started rolling in at 8 o’clock sharp and without any delay at 9 p.m. Tamika Morrison took to the stage to introduce Kenny, then followed by his tremendous panelist for the evening. Kenny who sat in the middle, started the discussion off by enforcing the fact that this was going to be a non-judgmental zone and everyone’s opinion was to be respected.

The discussion was such an engaging topic that everyone in the house was totally captivated by it. The diner room, the bar and foyer area were all filled with the overflow of guest all tuned into the stage. Even patrons that came into the restaurant that evening just for dinner were all zoned in to what Kenny and his guests had to say. I even heard one couple say, “Looks like we picked a good night, were getting dinner and a show!”

While seating back at the bar I heard everyone talking amongst themselves; commenting and adding their own tid-bits to what was being said on stage, everyone was completely interactive. The event went on without a hitch, and everyone seemed to truly enjoy themselves.

After the close of the panel I watched as everyone got up and began mingling, exchanging handshakes and business cards and yet you could hear the chattering of the topic at hand. Needless to say the event was a smash hit, a great success and a Twitter trending topic #TLAMConvo, thank you to all those that attended. T.MORRISON Agency does it again!

PREMIER ACADEMY CELEBRATES 40 YEARS

By: Tamika Morrison/1st Lady of PR

On March 24th, our agency was busy managing all of three client events/activities - it was truly an exciting day that ended on a sweet note with the celebration of Premier Academy's 40th Anniversary Celebration Gala.

The event took place in the heart of downtown Atlanta at the Loudermilk Center. A classy affair, Executive Director, Cindra Taylor looked radiant anticipating addressing the well-dressed crowd of esteemed professionals in early childhood education that came out - not only to receive awards for their tireless dedication providing exceptional early childhood education - but to celebrate Premier Academy for being such a great example of how exceptional an early childhood education is the foundation upon which future educational successes is dependent upon.

Former pre-schoolers turned doctors, CEO's and accomplished men and women returned to say "Thanks" to Premier Academy for a great formative education. And Ken Ford surprised the crowd with his appearance to receive his award while we were viewing his video acceptance speech. That was such a moment - a proud moment for me personally! It was culminated by a dynamic performance by Ken Ford Foundation 14 year-old virtuoso, DeMarkus Davis who wow'd the crowd with his rendition of "King of Strings" Ken Ford classics off his latest CD, State of Mind.
